25个英语写作常用的过渡词，帮你拿高分！（下）。英文和中文一样，无论是说还是写，都要讲究起承转合，非如此不能达意。因而，熟练掌握一些用来起承转合的词语，是很有必要的。语言是活的，也就是说，只有结合上下文，语言才会有意义。因此，学习掌握这些起承转合的词语，必须在实践中进行。在介绍这些词语的时候，也为大家提供了例句。由于篇幅有限，我将分两部分讲解50个写作常用的过渡词，每一组词语我暂且只提供一个例句，其实这是远远不够的，特别是有些多义的词语，需要自己去查字典或在阅读中揣摩。

词语中，同义的词我会列举在一起，但两者依然有差异，用法也不尽相同。譬如，but 是个连词，后边跟着的就必须是个分句，而however和nevertheless都是副词，在句子中的位置也更加灵活。这些，都需要大家在实践中慢慢体会。

·She said his English is terrible. Nevertheless, he scored 98 in his writing test.

她说他的英语很差，可是，在写作考试中他却得了98分。

·He is old, but he is still working hard to support himself.

他是老了，可是还在拼命干活来养活自己。

·People gain valuable work experience, and, in addition, employers can afford to employ them.

·The food did not look good. Moreover, it was inedible.

这食物不但没有色相，更要命的是根本不能吃。

·It’s too late to invite any more people. Besides, you know how your boyfriend hates parties.

再邀请更多的人已经来不及了。再说，你知道你的男朋友本来就不喜欢开派对。

·In fact, it was a miracle that everyone survived.

事实上，每个人都能活下来简直是个奇迹。

·Reports put the death toll of the wild fire at 80, when in reality it was close to 1000.

报告说这次野火烧死了八十个人，而实际上死掉的接近一千。

·I haven’t been here long. As a matter of fact, I just arrived yesterday.

我来此不久，实际上是昨天才来的。

·In general, my view is that anyone who breaks the law should be punished.
