1. Be as busy as a bee 

像蜜蜂一样忙碌，忙得团团转，这个加busy的表达是不是瞬间高了一个档次呢？

I'll be as busy as a bee if I want to finish all my homework before the semester is over.

如果我想要在学期结束之前完成所有的作业，我就会忙的不可开交。

2. Have one's hands full 

手头的事情应接不暇，忙得不可开交

I have got my hands full already with all kinds of work, and haven't got the time for any more. 

我手头已经堆满了各种工作, 因此我无暇再搞别的

3. Be up to one's neck

忙于，深陷于，忙得不可开交

I can't possibly come out tonight. I'm up to my neck in work.

今晚我不可能出来了，我的工作忙得不可开交。

4. Be tied-up 

很忙的，被占用

I'll be tied up the rest of the week, I am afraid. 

这个星期我恐怕都抽不出时间。

5. Have irons in/ on the fire

同时有（很多）事情要做

Paul had a number of irons in the fire, and he managed to keep all of them hot. 保罗手上揽了好几件工作，他有办法件件都做好。

6. Have a lot on (one's) plate 

以盘子装满了食物来太忙,而不是用来比喻丰衣足食之类的意思

I’m sorry I can’t be of help. I have enough on my plate.

7. On the go

忙个不停，四处奔走

He has been on the go for the past 5 months, hunting for a job.

8. Have eggs on the spit

I forget to tell you, I am writing a short story now; I have eggs on the spit.
